| | | Tai Chi Class | | The Anne Byron Waud Patient and Family Resource Center for Healthy Aging (the Waud Center) at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, is an incredible asset to older adults in the Chicago area.
We at the Waud Center believe that our older years are a time to enjoy new experiences, to learn, to create, to grow and, most importantly, to have fun. That's why we offer a variety of social activities throughout the year for older adults. These include:
- Movie nights
Join us for tasty pizza and your favorite classic movies once a week.
- Quilting Class
Starter kits and guidance are provided to those who want to learn how to quilt.

Computer Instruction
Two computers with Internet access are available for guests between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition, we offer individualized, one-on-one tutoring for older adults in the areas of: basic computer skills, production to the Internet and using e-mail. Tutoring is by appointment only. Free Health Information and Education Events
