The Comprehensive Lymphoma Center at Rush provides multidisciplinary treatment for people with Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. The center’s staff includes hematologists, dermatologists, radiation oncologists and other specialists who work together to provide patients with accurate diagnosis, and comprehensive treatment and follow-up care.
A patient’s treatment may include radiation therapy, chemotherapy or bone marrow transplant. In addition to a full range of standard therapies, the center offers innovative treatments not widely available.
Radiation therapy is a critical part of managing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. These lymphomas respond well to radiotherapy, and large tumors often disappear quickly after treatment with small doses of radiation. Lymphoma center physicians also work with dermatologists to evaluate and treat patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphomas, including mycosis fungoides, a rare lymphoma of the skin.
