At Rush Children’s Hospital, our clinical psychologists are specially trained in the care of children and young people.
Family-centered services are provided to patients with acute and chronic pediatric illnesses, including neurodevelopmental disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, behavioral and school difficulties, attention deficit disorder, feeding disorders, learning disabilities, cancer, cardiac conditions, organ and stem cell transplantation, obesity, gastrointestinal disorders, sickle cell disease and traumatic injury.
Inpatient and outpatient services are provided for children and young adults, from birth through 21 years of age. Services include:
- Diagnostic testing
- Therapy
- Counseling for common disciplinary problems
- Consultation with parents, school, physicians and other health care providers
