The Section of Pediatric Endocrinology provides children and adolescents with evaluation and treatment for hormonal irregularities and diabetes problems.
The following are a few of the endocrine problems for which our pediatric physicians and nurses provide expert care:
- Thyroid abnormalities
- Adrenal abnormalities
- Pituitary abnormalities
- Growth disorders
- Diabetes insipidus
- Diabetes mellitus, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
- Delay of puberty
- Early puberty
- Turner’s syndrome
- Klinefelter’s syndrome
Services are available on an inpatient and outpatient basis, and include a comprehensive program for children and adolescents with diabetes.
The Section of Pediatric Endocrinology features a multidisciplinary team of pediatric endocrinologists, registered nurses, physician assistants and dietitians who work together to provide children with the best possible care. Our staff includes certified diabetes educators (CDEs) and individuals with expertise in exercise physiology and pump training.
