Activities for infants and toddlers are offered each morning. The program is geared toward the children’s normal and developmental needs for play and exploration. Some of these activities may include water play, music, stories, and simple games. By allowing the children to do the “normal” things they may do when not in the hospital, it reduces their anxiety over separation from their parents and increases their feelings that they are still in control of their lives. While under the care of our trained specialists, these activities also give the children positive outlets for negative feelings.
