Rheumatologists at Rush provide treatment for arthritis, Lyme disease, lupus and other rheumatic diseases. The section also supports a center for the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, a clinic specially designed for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis clinic and lupus. Our goal is to offer high-quality, patient-focused specialty services that increase our patients’ quality of life by moderating the disease process.
We recognize the special challenges faced by our patients, especially those facing limitation of movement. For that reason, we designed our office space with a “patient-first” philosophy: We have a full laboratory, x-ray and bone denisty facilities and an infusion therapy center within our suite. Think of it as “one-stop shopping” for your treatment convenience. In addition to providing comprehensive and compassionate patient care, section faculty members are involved in a number of research projects searching for the causes of arthritis and other rheumatic diseases.
The Section of Rheumatology also offers outstanding training in both the clinical research aspects of rheumatic diseases.
