Anna Treinkman RN, MSN, CNP, is a certified gerontological nurse practitioner. She received her master’s degree in gerontological nursing from Loyola University and completed requirements for her nurse practitioner certification from Rush University. She is certified as a nurse practitioner (CNP) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Treinkman has over 25 years experience working with older adults.
Treinkman is a co-manager of the Rush Memory Clinic and in collaboration with Memory Clinic physicians, she provides comprehensive follow-up care for patients with dementia and their families. She has experience working with older adults in a variety of settings, including hospital, home care, long term care and outpatient. Treinkman leads educational support groups for families and has spoken for many family and professional groups locally and nationally. She is currently a facilitator and program developer for Without Warning, an educational support program tailored for individuals with Younger Onset Alzheimer’s disease and their families.
She is a member of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (GAPNA), the Chicago Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses (CGAPN), the American College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) and the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing (ISAPN). She is a past President of GAPNA and CGAPN.
