Rush is conducting a number of research trials in the area of depression. A clinical evaluation will be conducted to determine whether one of our research protocols is appropriate for you. If they are, you will be randomly assigned to a treatment group. A number of different research protocols are available, all involving drug treatment. Study drugs may be FDA-approved or investigational (not FDA-approved), and some studies may involve a placebo.

Study procedures, visits and drugs will be provided at no cost to participants. Participants must be able to come to the clinic for frequent visits between during business hours, Monday through Friday. We have sites in Chicago and Skokie.

• Currently experiencing symptoms of depression, including feeling sad, blue, hopeless or worthless; crying spells; trouble sleeping or sleeping too much; unexplained low energy or fatigue; difficulty concentrating; loss of interest or pleasure; changes in weight or appetite; wondering if life is worth living.
• Have no serious or untreated medical illnesses
• Between the ages of 18 and 65
• Meet other eligibility requirements as outlined by research protocols
