Acute Depressive Episode Treatment Study: A study of a new formulation of ramelteon, in combination with lithium or valorate, in the treatment of acute depressive episodes in adults with bipolar I disorder.

Bipolar Depression Relapse Study: This is a study of the safety, tolerability and efficacy of a marketed antidepressant with an FDA-approved mood stabilizer during long-term treatment of bipolar depression.

Cognitive Remediation for Schizophrenic Patients: We are seeking research volunteers who have cognitive difficulties (i.e., memory, concentration, reasoning, etc.) and have schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.

Decreasing the Symptoms of Depression Associated With Bipolar I Disorder: A study of a new formulation of ramelteon, in combination with lithium or valorate, in the treatment of acute depressive episodes in adults with bipolar I disorder.

Depression (Treatment Study): Rush is conducting a number of research trials in the area of depression. A clinical evaluation will be conducted to determine whether one of our research protocols is appropriate for you.

Major Depressive Disorder Treatment Study: Evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug compared to placebo when given along with an antidepressant medication in adults with major depressive disorder (MDD).

Metabolic Complications Associated with Olanzapine: This study is investigating metformin (Glucophage) for the prevention of weight gain, hypercholesterolemia and elevated blood sugar or diabetes that has been associated with the antipsychotic olanzapine (Zyprexa).

Predictors of Opioid Analgesic Responses Study: The purpose of this study is to improve our understanding of factors that may influence how much pain relief people get from opioid-based medication, and the potential risks of taking these medications.

Schizophrenia Long Acting Injectable Treatment Study: A 38-week, double-blind study of a long-acting injectable, second-generation antipsychotic medication compared to its oral formulation as a maintenance treatment for schizophrenia.

Sleep Disturbance in PTSD Study: We are seeking research volunteers who are having difficulty sleeping and have post-traumatic stress disorder. We want to assess the effectiveness of a medication for sleep disturbance.

Spanish-Speaking Older Adult Trauma Survivor Stress Reduction Study: The purpose of this study is to determine whether a mindfulness and affective skills training group treatment is effective in treating stress symptoms of Spanish-speaking older adult trauma survivors.

Trauma Survivors Stress Inoculation Training Study: This is a five-week clinical research program that uses a personalized, resilience-building intervention to improve coping and mental health for trauma survivors.
