Asthma Control and Treatment of Nasal Allergy Study: This study will evaluate the effectiveness of nasal steroids for the treatment of chronic rhinitis and sinusitis (nasal allergies) on asthma control. Treatment time is six months. There will be five treatment visits.
Asthma Patient Registry: Information will be collected from participants through a registry questionnaire and entered into a secure Web-based system to establish a database of asthma patients. The database will be used to contact participants about future asthma-related studies that may be of interest to them.
Pediatric Lower Respiratory Tract Treatrment Study: This protocol is comprised of two separate but linked clinical trials that target preschool aged children with recurrent severe episodes of lower respiratory tract symptoms. These trials come together in a combined study of two separate therapies that will be administered sequentially.
Soy Supplements and Asthma Control Study: This study will evaluate the effectiveness soy supplements on asthma control. Treatment time is six months. There will be nine visits.
Vitamin D Therapy in Asthma: This study will enroll individuals 18 years and older who have vitamin D insufficiency and asthma with persistent symptoms despite low-dose inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
