Instructions to Female Patients

1. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water; rinse well and dry with a paper towel.
2. Separate the skin folds around the urinary opening. Wash the opening with soap pad or towelette supplied.
3. Use a front to back motion; do not scrub back and forth. Repeat using a fresh towelette.
4. Begin urinating into the toilet, making sure to keep the skin folds apart with the fingers.
5. Without stopping the stream, insert the container into the stream. Do not allow the container to touch the clothing, legs, or genital area.
6. Fill about half the container. Replace the lid, label the container, note the exact time of voiding.
