The Intellectual Property (IP) Office at Rush University Medical Center is responsible for managing Rush intellectual properties and implementing Rush IP policies. The IP Office assists Rush inventors, authors and other creators of intellectual property in the process of IP disclosure, protection, marketing and licensing. Services include:
- Educating inventors about the process
- Evaluating new technologies
- Determining patentability
- Facilitating copyrights
- Facilitating the patent process
- Locating potential licensees
- Negotiating license agreements
