Cook County Trauma Unit is involved in training residents from a number of programs.

We currently have residents rotating from:

General Surgery:
Rush University Medical Center - PG5, PG4 and PG2
University of Chicago Hospital - PG4 and PG2
Northwestern Memorial Hospital - PG3

Emergency Medicine:
Cook County Hospital - PG2,3,4
Chicago Osteopathic Hospitals - PG3
Northwestern Memorial Hospital - PG2
University of Illinois at Peoria - PG3
Resurrection Medical Center - PG2

In addition, we routinely have residents from the following specialties on our service:

Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Pediatric Intensive Care
Medical Intensive Care
Family Practice

This diverse group of residents from many different training programs helps to enhance the learning experience for all involved.
