Graduate Medical Education
Fellowship in Rheumatology

Message from the Director

The Section of Rheumatology at Rush University takes great pride, care and effort in training future rheumatologists. While several of our faculty members are graduates of the Rush program, a diverse group of prestigious and nationally recognized rheumatology fellowship training programs are represented in the faculty.

Graduates from our program have gone on to academic careers in based research, teaching and patient care, as well as in industry, and a broad variety of clinical practice settings. Graduates of our program can be found throughout the United States as well as on the faculty of distinguished international medical schools.

The Section of Rheumatology is internationally known for its work on the clinical and basic science of osteoarthritis, as well as in rheumatoid arthritis, other connective tissue diseases, and clinical research. Our goal is to foster academic inquiry, provide broad and deep clinical exposure and to teach all aspects of rheumatology amongst an association of professionals who share these beliefs and goals.
