Calvin R. Brown, Jr., MD

Calvin R. Brown, Jr., MD, is associate professor in the departments of Internal Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center. He also serves as an attending physician at Cook County Hospital and Marianjoy Rehabilitation Center. He is director of education in the Section of Rheumatology at Rush.

Dr. Brown is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American College of Rheumatology, the American College of Physicians and the Chicago Rheumatism Society. His research had been published in such journals as Arthritis and Rheumatism and the Journal of Rheumatology.

Dr. Brown received his medical degree from Wayne State University. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He also completed fellowships in rheumatology at the University of Michigan Medical Center and in orthopedics at Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Brown is specially trained in sports medicine and medical orthopedics.
