| Letter
to Prospective Applicants
Thank
you for your interest in the Rush Sports Medicine Fellowship Program in
the Division of Sports Medicine, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Rush
University Medical Center.
Our website is designed to provide you with a brief
overview of our sports medicine fellowship program. We feel we have a
highly competitive program which has and continues to expand, therefore,
offering our fellow exposure to an overall well-balanced curriculum.
In addition, we have been designated as the team physicians
for the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls, further expanding the
fellowship experience.
Our fellows are instructed by our nationally, if not
internationally, recognized faculty, and are also exposed to other nationally
recognized leaders through the locally based American Academy of Orthopaedic
Surgeons’ Learning Resource Center.
Our fellows gain an extensive wealth of knowledge and
experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports medicine injuries
in a major medical center environment offering state-of-the art techniques
and equipment. Upon completion they are well groomed to enter in to private
practice or an academic environment.
Our program is accredited by the ACGME.
Again, thank you for your interest in our sports medicine
fellowship program and hope that you find the program that best matches
your career endeavors.
Sincerely yours,
Bernard R. Bach, Jr., M.D.
The Claude N. Lambert, M.D. – Helen S. Thomson Professor
Director, Sports Medicine Division
