Application Information

The Rush Sports Medicine Fellowship Program accepts four fellows per year.

This past year, approximately 140 completed applications were received and 26 applicants were invited to interview for our four positions. Interviews are held on one day only (usually in January). The interview process involves a full day with ample time for interaction with the current fellows and attendings as well as tour the facilities. Since the NRMP has disbanded the Match for the sports medicine fellowships effective February 2005, position offers have been offers are extended within 48 hours of the interview process. Fellows are selected on the basis of their academic accomplishments, letters of recommendation and personal character.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2009-10 academic year. To apply to our program, a universal application form can be downloaded on the AOSSM website. As requested on the Universal Application, four letters of recommendation, curriculum vitae and personal statement are required. In addition, applicants may submit reprints or other documentation they feel will enhance their application.

The deadline for completed applications is December 1, 2007.
