Application Information

The Rush Sports Medicine Fellowship Program accepts four fellows per year.

This past year, approximately 110 completed applications were received and 70 applicants were invited to interview for our four positions. Interviews are held on one day only (usually in January). The interview process involves a full day with ample time for interaction with the current fellows and attendings as well as tour the facilities. Since the NRMP has disbanded the Match for the sports medicine fellowships effective February 2005, position offers have been offers are extended within 48 hours of the interview process. Fellows are selected on the basis of their academic accomplishments, letters of recommendation and personal character.

We are participating the Sports Medicine Fellowship Match for the 2010-2011 academic year. The Match will be sponsored by the AAOS and AANA and administered through the San Francisco Match. Please visit the AOSSM website (www.aossm.org) for up-to-date application information. There is no supplemental information required for our program.

Our deadline for completed applications is firm; December 1, 2008. Interviews will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2009.
