Letter to Prospective Applicants
Thank you for your interest in the Rush Affiliated Network Orthopedic Residency Program in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center and Rush Medical College.
The purpose of this web site is to provide you with an overview of the residency program. We feel that we have an exceptional program that exposes residents to the spectrum of orthopedic pathology in all subspecialty areas. Our program emphasizes the importance of developing competent clinical and surgical skills, and acknowledges the vital role that clinical and basic research play in the management of patients.
Residents gain extensive experience in the diagnosis, management and treatment of the broad spectrum of orthopedic problems. They are well prepared to enter into private practice, academics or a subspecialty fellowship. The program is demanding and stimulating, and it fosters and encourages camaraderie between the residents and attending staff.
Again, we thank you for your interest in our residency program and wish each of you well with your career pursuits and plans. We hope this web site is both informative and helpful for you.
