Information for International Medical Graduates
For applications to the neurology residency program at Rush, International Medical Graduates are expected to submit the following information:
- Medical school transcript
- Medical Student Performance Evaluations (MSPE)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Personal statement
- Valid ECFMG certification
- USMLE transcripts (Step 1 and 2)
To remain competitive and to qualify for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, applicants who graduated from medical school more than 2 years ago must demonstrate proof of clinical work or continuing medical education (CME). Clinical experience in the United States is preferred but not required.
Applicants who desire to complete their Internal Medicine/Preliminary Year at Rush must submit a separate application for the Internal Medicine preliminary year as well as undergo a separate interview with the Internal Medicine Department. Applications are accepted through ERAS.
