In keeping with its strong commitment to patient care and research, the Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center offers a three-year neurology residency program fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Each year, the program accepts up to six residents, who will train at Rush University Medical Center and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County to carry on the Rush tradition of excellence in patient care.
Our goals are to:
- Provide excellent clinical training in inpatient and outpatient neurology, including subspecialty and resident continuity care clinics.
- Establish a sound foundation in basic science through a formal teaching program.
- Develop residents' understanding of the research method through participation in research projects.
