The Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush offers fellowships in the following areas:
Clinical Neurophysiology
This is a well-integrated and balanced clinical neurophysiology fellowship designed to prepare the trainee for private practice, or as the first year of sub-specialty training in neuromuscular disease or epilepsy. The program allows flexibility in focusing more on EEG/Epilepsy or EMG/Neuromuscular disease. Trainees will also learn about evoked potentials and intraoperative monitoring and spend a month on rotation in the Sleep Center. This will allow familiarity with evaluating patients with sleep disorders and interpreting polysomnograms. Didactic teaching is an integral part of the program and includes a weekly neurophysiology course.
At the end the program, fellows will be eligible and encouraged to take the Added Qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology exam offered by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
