Section of Neuro-Oncology

Hassan Fathallah-Shaykh, MD

The section of neuro-Oncology of the Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush is directed by Hassan Fathallah-Shaykh, MD, a neuro-oncologist and molecular biologist. The section works collaboratively with members of the Rush Cancer Institute, the Section of Oncology of the Department of Internal Medicine, the Department of Neurosurgery and the Department of Radiation Oncology. Clinical interests of the section include the treatment of brain tumors, the diagnosis and treatment of the remote effects of cancer, and cancer pain. Research activities of the section include clinical drug trials, gene therapy in animal models, genomic discovery, and mathematical modeling.
