Application Process
We are accepting applications for 2005-2006 via ERAS® the Electronic Residency Application Service. A completed application must include:
- Dean's letter of evaluation
- Three to five letters of recommendation (one of these letters should be from a Department of Psychiatry Faculty Member, one letter from Department of Medicine Faculty Member)
- Medical school transcript
- USLME transcripts
- Personal statement
- Photo ( not required but it helps us recognize you during the interview day)
Interview & Selection
Applications are reviewed by the directors of the Internal Medicine/Psychiatry program and the education committee. Interviews are offered via email and are conducted on Mondays in December and January.
Preference for an interview date is on a first-come, first-serve basis, depending upon when the application is received through ERAS®.
The interview day is from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and is as follows:
- Meet residents question and answer roundtable
- Program directors orientation
- Medicine rounds
- Psychiatry rounds
- Tour of hospital
- Lunch with residents
- Interviews with program directors, internal medicine/psychiatry faculty, and psychiatric and medical faculty
- Interviews with a faculty member related to applicants special interest(s) (optional)
After our final interview day, applications are reviewed and our rank order list is completed.
