Graduate Medical Education
Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology
Letter from the Director

Welcome

The Rush Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program encompasses the special knowledge and skill required of cardiologists to care for patients receiving cardiovascular interventional procedures. Our program offers a broad spectrum of training to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving field. These include satisfying the ACC/AHA requirements for percutaneous coronary intervention and percutaneous peripheral vascular intervention (including renal intervention, aortic intervention, and carotid intervention) as well as providing a significant exposure to the percutaneous treatment of congenital and valvular heart disease. The interventional cardiology program is currently accredited for one (1) year of training and all applicants will have completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship or its equivalent.
