Interview & Selection Process
Our residency program attracts applicants from around the world. Graduates of LCME accredited allopathic, osteopathic and international medical schools must apply through ERASŪ (Electronic Residency Application Service). Applications are screened with attention to performance during the pre-clinical and clinical years, USMLE 1 exam scores, USMLE 2 exam scores when available, MSPE and letters of recommendation. Our screening process does not discriminate based upon gender, sexual orientation, age, race, religion, ethnic origin, economic status, veteran status or place of residence.
Invitations are extended to qualified applicants by email. Candidates who cannot make one of the 16 group dates may be accommodated on an individual basis at our discretion. Interviews are conducted from the middle of November through the end of January. The interview day consists of a case conference, a description of the training program by program leadership, two faculty interviews, a question/answer sessions with our Chief Residents, lunch with our Housestaff, and concludes with a tour of the Medical Center.
