| This non-ACGME approved one-year
fellowship in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department, offers
full training in all elements of hand surgery including:
- Secondary reconstruction
- Acute trauma, rheumatoid
- Congenital and
- Acquired conditions of the hand
- Microsurgery.
Referrals come from a wide geographic area with a marked diversity of
conditions. Intra-operative experience and care of acute injuries is augmented
by full exposure to elective surgery cases, including preoperative selection
and follow-up of postoperative results.
A state-of-the-art therapy and rehabilitation unit is an integral part
of the offices of the Section of Hand Surgery. A microsurgical laboratory
is available for the hand surgery Fellow’s training and research.
The program provides a wide exposure, balanced in all areas.
The Fellow has teaching responsibilities for residents and students.
Application Process:
One fellow per year is accepted.
All applicants must have completed at least 3 years of a General Surgery
residency.
We do not sponsor any visas.
This program does not participate in the National Residents and Fellows
Matching Program.
