Policy on Selection Process and Criteria

The fellowship applicant must contact Dr. Bakay and submit her/her curriculum vitae with three letters of reference. Dr. Bakay then contacts the references personally and issues an invitation for an interview. The fellow interviews with Dr. Bakay, Dr. Von Roenn and the Chairman. Basic criteria include but are not limited to successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency in neurological surgery, a modicum of prior clinical or lab-based research and satisfactory references.
