DIDACTICS
The RUSH Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the University
of Illinois (UIC) Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry collaborate
to provide seminars for first and second year child psychiatry fellows
from both programs. The UIC campus is in close proximity to Rush, providing
easy access for residents. The shared didactic program is one day per
week. Faculty from both institutions provides instruction for the residents.
An equal amount of seminar time is spent at each institution. Fellows
benefit from this experience that enhances the pool of faculty for teaching
and provides fellows with a larger peer group for learning and educational
exchange. In addition, Rush fellows have separate didactic instruction,
conferences and supervision with Rush faculty.
