In order to be eligible for our fellowship, the candidate must have completed three years of Cardiology training (and be board eligible or certified in Cardiovascular Disease). Successful graduates of our program (who are board certified in Cardiovascular Disease) are eligible to take the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology examination offered by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Applicants must currently be U.S. citizens, be classified as resident aliens, or be eligible for a J-1 or H-1B Visa.

The selection committee consists of two senior CCEP attending physicians. Special attention is paid to details of prior training and evidence of special clinical interest and/or research in the arena of cardiac arrhythmias. Each candidate is reviewed and approved by the Director, Section of Cardiology. Qualified applicants are then invited to interview.

Interview times are accommodated on an individual basis. Each applicant's visit includes at least two interviews with faculty members, a detailed description of our program, an opportunity to view one or more clinical activities, lunch and a tour of the hospital (accompanied by a CCEP resident and/or faculty member).

There is no matching program available to CCEP training programs. Training program offers are, therefore, made directly to the candidates.

Currently we are only accepting applications for 2012-2013.
