Graduate Medical Education
Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine

Longitudinal Component

To provide experience in continuity of care, each fellow is assigned a panel of approximately 10 long-term care residents at either Warren Barr Pavilion or Lakeview Rehabilitation and Nursing. One half-day per week, each fellow evaluates 2-3 patients and develops plans of care under the supervision of an attending geriatric physician. Fellows act as the patients’ primary care physicians and are the main contact for families and the facility. Fellows are responsible for admitting new residential patients and making unscheduled visits throughout the year as necessary.
