Candidate should be Board eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery.

| Objectives of the Program |
To provide advanced endocrine surgical training with opportunity to do clinical and basic science research. The fellow will be responsible for the initial evaluation, preoperative preparation, operative management and postoperative follow-up of the endocrine patient.
Exposure to pathology/cytopathology, nuclear medicine and endocrine disciplines.

Opportunity to train with endocrine surgeons Dr. Richard Prinz and Dr. Subash Patel
200 thyroid operations
125 parathyroidectomies
30 adrenalectomies
5-10 gastrointestinal endocrine tumors
Office ultrasound for examination of the thyroid, parathyroids, lymph nodes, and guidance of FNA.
Exposure to minimally invasive techniques.
Exposure to advanced thyroid cancer at the County hospital. Participation in the endocrine surgical laboratory and preparation of research protocols.
Participation in combined endocrine/surgical conferences and endocrine tumor board.
