The Rush Pancreas Transplant Program offers comprehensive evaluation and transplant services for adults and children with Type I diabetes. For patients whose conditions have not been helped by currently available medical therapies, a pancreas transplant, or a combined pancreas-kidney transplant, can be an effective treatment option. This team coordinates the efforts of more than 100 other health care professionals at Rush who are involved in the care of each transplant patient. Services for patients include a comprehensive system of support services for patients and families before and after transplant.
