Treatment for Micrognathia and Pierre Robin Sequence
- Initial team evaluation
- Mandibular and airway expansion through internal or external distraction osteogenesis (infancy and childhood)
- Tracheostomy (if necessary) with early decannulation after mandibular distraction
- Cleft palate repair (12-24 months)
- Annual team evaluation with airway and speech emphasis
- Dentistry: oral health education, pediatric dentistry and orthodontic treatment in late transitional and permanent dentition
- Definitive skeletal habilitation with distraction osteogenesis or orthognathic surgery
