Rush offers a variety of convenient services to help make your stay easier and more comfortable for you and your family.

Chapel/Pastoral Services and Spiritual Support
The J. Hall Taylor Memorial Chapel — located on the first floor of the Kellogg Building near elevator C — is open 24 hours a day. For a schedule of services and information about special events or to see a chaplain, call ext 2-5571.

Beauty Services
Manicures are available for you and your visitors. You may make arrangements to have the manicurist come to your room. Appointments are required and payment is accepted at the time of service. Call (312) 942-5160.

Mail Services
Mail is delivered to patient care units Monday­Friday. After you leave the hospital, your mail will be forwarded to your home.

Newspapers
Newspapers are available in the gift shops, the Volunteer Services Department and in newspaper dispensers located near the fourth-floor pedestrian bridges. If you would like a newspaper delivered to your room, call the Volunteer Services Department at (312) 942-5574.

Notary Public
If needed, the services of a notary public are available to you at no cost. We ask that family, friends or legal counsel serve as witnesses for legal transactions. Hospital staff cannot serve as witnesses. For more information, call (312) 942-5574.

For Visitors With Disabilities
If you are disabled or have special needs, ask a staff member for assistance, or contact the Volunteer Services Department at (312) 942-5574. We will make every effort to provide you with the assistance you need, including providing sign language interpreters and special assistive devices (TTY/TDD, amplified and large-button telephones, large-print books, etc.).

Ethics Consultation Service
When patients are very sick, they and their families may have questions. The Medical Center offers an ethics consultation service to help patients and families evaluate their options. If you would like assistance or information, call (312) 942-5571.

Business Services
If you need to purchase stamps, photocopies or fax services, call the Volunteer Services Department at (312) 942-5574.

Interpreter Services
If you need language assistance, an interpreter will gladly be provided to you free of charge. Please call Interpreter Services at (312) 563-2987 or ask a staff member for assistance.
