Group uses martial arts techniques and dance to help children understand their difficult emotions such as anxiety and frustration, how emotions affect the body and what to do when strong feelings arise. The group teaches how to redirect, express, and handle emotions in creative ways. This is an excellent group for children with self-esteem issues, children who isolate or have difficulty with outbursts, and children with high anxiety.

Feeding the Picky Eater (offered at Chicago location)
Speech pathologist and occupational therapist maximize the influence of peers to help children develop all new eating habits. Sensory and motor based feeding problems are addressed. Participants should be able to participate independently without one on one adult assistance.
When: meets on Tuesdays from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Karate for Every-Body (offered at the Downers Grove location) 
Exercise and coordination. The group's martial arts specialist teams up with a licensed OT to create a program that emphasizes coordination, balance, motor planning, and strength and helps children of all abilities to develop focus, attention, and self-control. OT prescription required for therapeutic vs. recreational participation.
When: Meets on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
