Planned Giving

When James and Helen Russell decided to leave a bequest to Rush from their estate, they may not have realized the scope of the legacy their gift would leave behind. Today, the James R. and Helen D. Russell Surgery Center (pictured) embodies Rush’s vision for the future of surgery.

Opened in 2012, these 28 operating rooms, spanning three floors of the Tower, have changed the way clinicians at Rush deliver care.

But the Russells needed planning and forethought to arrange a gift that best met their wishes. We can help you and your family make a lasting impact on the lives of people in need, and their families as well.

Susan Sasvari, senior director of gift planning, is happy to assist you with our various planned giving options. She can be reached at susan_sasvari@rush.edu or (312) 942-3691.

Plan for your family’s future — and Rush’s future

Like many of us, you probably want to protect your financial security but wish you could donate to those causes you believe in most. A planned gift to Rush, such as a bequest in your will or a charitable gift annuity, can help you do both.

Sasvari can help you devise a straightforward plan to ensure that your assets will be there when you need them most. Best of all, you’ll still get the satisfaction of knowing that your support will strengthen tomorrow’s health care.

In honor of their farsighted generosity, all donors who make planned gifts to Rush are recognized through Rush Heritage Society membership.
