Gift Planning

When James and Helen Russell decided to leave a bequest to Rush from their estate, they may not have realized the scope of the legacy their gift would leave behind. Today, the James R. and Helen D. Russell Surgery Center (pictured) represents Rush’s vision for the future of surgery.

Opened in 2012, these 28 operating rooms, spanning three floors of the Tower, have changed the way clinicians at Rush deliver care.

It took planning and forethought for the Russells to arrange a gift that best met their wishes. Rush offers a variety of legacy giving options that help supporters and friends make a lasting impact beyond their lifetimes, while also realizing benefits for themselves today.

Susan Sasvari, senior director of gift planning,is available to confidentially discuss your individual philanthropic interests and the variety of planned giving options at Rush. She can be reached at susan_sasvari@rush.edu or (312) 942-3691.
